OUR world, not yours

After reading a recent article from Environmental Economics on a survey of what the people thought about preventing and reducing climate change, its come to me that if we did care so much, why doesn’t it seem that we’re responding enough towards the world? I mean hundreds of millions of people around the world say that the climate change that his world is going through but why do we only see millions of people taking on the role in preventing climate change.

The 21st century, we are at a moment of globalization, in which the world is now one. What we do as a group basically effects the other groups or nations as well, so why don’t we all think about the idea of having influence on each other as a whole, not on me, as a individual. Lets think outside of the box, the future, and be more concerned.

I’ve recently taken a part as a member of Project Global Cooling (PGC), formed by a group of adults (and young adults), taking on the role of being responsible for the future that waits ahead of us. Before joining this group, I myself was a shameful individual who cared nothing about what waited ahead of us, thinking to myself “I won’t be alive to see the end of the world anyways, so who cares”. But now things have changed, I’ve realized what a group of determined individuals could do, form groups, and a group of groups would bring revolutions. Therefore I hope one day that the people will do what they think is right and the path that they have chosen to take, and never say that I “can’t”, because with a million “I”s that forms a “us”.
